meji studios is a meji media production. here is everything we do with your information, in plain words.

you can sign in two ways. with google, google shares your name, email address, and profile photo with us so the door can recognize you. with an email address and password, we keep your email address only. either way your password is held by google firebase authentication and never reaches us — we cannot see it, and we never ask for it outside the sign-in door.

you can also just leave a name. that stays in your own browser and is never sent anywhere.

we email you only about your own account: confirming your address, or resetting your password. no newsletters, no marketing.

while you watch, we remember your watch progress and preferences. this is saved on your own device first, and — when you are signed in — synced to our database (google firebase / cloud firestore) so it follows you between devices. your watch progress is private to you.

the master voice generator uses your existing meji account instead of a separate studio password. when you enter, a short-lived proof that you are signed in is sent securely to the private generator; your google or email password never reaches it. the words you type, any voice sample you upload or record, and the generated audio are sent to that generator so it can produce and return a WAV file. generated files may remain on the studio machine until we remove them, so do not enter secrets or upload a voice you do not own or have permission to use. microphone access is optional and your browser asks before allowing it.

the library is public. if you claim a library name, then your library name, display name, orb, bio, everything you publish there, and who you follow are visible to anyone on the internet — signed in or not. write accordingly. your email address is never shown publicly; we keep it on file to run your account and to enforce bans. delete your entries any time in the library; to delete your whole account and its records, contact us.

we do not sell your data. we do not run ads. we use google analytics to count visits, see which films people watch, and understand how visitors use lapdog — including entering the game, moving between worlds, finishing races or city objectives, and trying the rehearsal cart. these events are never tied to your account and never used for advertising. to tell a returning visitor from a new one, google analytics sets two cookies in your browser: one named _ga, one named for our property. they hold a random id, not your name, and expire after two years. we set no advertising cookies, and google analytics 4 does not log your ip address. if you'd rather not be counted at all, google's analytics opt-out browser add-on works here. your name, orb and watch progress live in your browser's local storage, not in cookies — signing out clears them. we use google firebase services (authentication, firestore, app check) to operate accounts and sync. google's processing is governed by google's terms.

you can sign out at any time — signing out clears your name, your orb and your watch progress from this device, and reloads the page. to delete your account data, contact us and we will remove your records from our database.
